Our Company...

L&S Construction was formed in 1952 and purchase by Pamp G. and Barbra Maiers in 1974, who changed the name to North Central Construction, Inc. The company started out as an industrial contractor performing mechanical contracting work and employed approximately 25 workers. In 1976 Pamp bid the company's first Heavy Civil Construction project and was the successful bidder on a six mile stretch of county road near Starbuck Washington. Since that time the company has went on to build several hundred miles of State, County, and City roads throughout Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and California. Pamp formed Central Washington Asphalt in 1978 and purchased AAA Ready-mix in 1995. The addition of these company's has allowed NCC to offer a complete construction development package to it's customers in Central Washington, while still bidding projects throughout the Northwest. Today NCC self performs heavy civil contracting (earth moving), structural concrete, commercial building construction, and also operates two portable rock crushers producing over a million tons per year of various aggregate materials. Central Washington  Asphalt operates asphalt plants in Moses Lake, Wenatchee and Chelan Washington as well as a portable plant for highway construction projects outside of these areas. AAA ready-mix operates two ready-mix plants one stationed in Moses lake, Washington and the other for portable projects. These companies have been founded on hard work, competitive bidding and building relationships with the people we work for and around. NCC has completed projects for various companies such as, J.R. Simplot, Pacific Northwest Sugar Company, Takata Explosives, Kraft Paper Company, Carnation Company, General Electric Company, Masco Construction, Washington Potato, Turner Construction, Eldorado Stone and numerous others. The company has also completed projects for a host of government agencies such as, Washington State Fish and Game Department, Washington State Department of Transportation, Army Corps of Engineers, Bureau Of Reclamation, Washington State Department of Corrections, Oregon Department of Transportation, Idaho Transportation Department as wells as numerous county's and city's throughout the northwest.
